OUR FOUNDER
STACY LAWRENCE
Stacy Lawrence brings over 20 years of experience to the interpreting field, specializing in the coordination, placement, and supervision of interpreters across multiple school districts, colleges, and universities.
Her extensive background in staffing interpreters for educational settings ensures seamless communication access for students, parents, and educators. She possesses in-depth knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), special education processes, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), making her a trusted expert in educational interpreting services.
Beyond education, Stacy has provided interpreting services for notable national and international figures, esteemed authors, and leaders across political, social, civic, and religious sectors. With a background in Social Work, she is frequently sought after as an expert in Mental Health and Legal Interpreting. Her experience allows her to interpret, coordinate, and offer guidance tailored to the unique needs of each setting.
As the driving force behind Connect Interpreting, Stacy ensures that every interpreter is personally vetted to meet the highest standards of professionalism and linguistic expertise. Her commitment to excellence guarantees exceptional service for all clients, with a strong emphasis on accessibility in educational environments.

ADA COMPLIANT
Connect is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in sign language interpreting. All interpreters working with us are required to adhere to the Professional Code of Conduct, as outlined by the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) and the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
The Code of Professional Conduct consists of seven tenets, which serve as guiding principles for ethical decision-making and professional behavior. These tenets are designed to ensure confidentiality, professionalism, respect for consumers, and adherence to best practices in the
field of sign language interpreting.
As an ADA-compliant organization, Connect is dedicated to ensuring equal access to communication for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals in educational and professional settings. Our interpreters uphold the principles of accuracy, neutrality, and cultural sensitivity, reinforcing our mission of inclusivity and accessibility.
Additionally, our interpreters are well-versed in HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) regulations. At Connect, we provide Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) to ensure seamless communication between Deaf and hearing individuals, even when an on-site interpreter isn’t available. VRI offers real-time access to professional sign language interpreters through secure video platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and more.
